/// These are notes from my observations of the videos, and checking up on specs, and some engineering common sense...
Based on specs, I will predict it was a 50 caliber M2 Browning machine gun, the only one I could find with a fire rate of approximately 7 rounds per SECOND, based on what I could hear in the video.
An AK model or M16 only holds 30 standard rounds, so this bastard was probably belt feeding the ammo. Also, my count of about 7 rounds per second does not jive well with the rate of fire for an AK or M16, which means, it was probably some other type of machine gun slightly slower firing rate of standard issue military automatic rifles.
Picture a 64 year-old man carrying that much lead in bullets and all the shooting equipment. Unless he has the muscles of Arnold, the answer is "no."
You cannot purchase automatic weapons without a license, and if you know how to shoot one, reload, etc, you are military or ex-military. And, if you got your hands on one, there are paper trails everywhere, unless it is a Black Operations, which I am almost certain.
If you listen to war footage in Afghanistan, Iraq, or Syria, you will recognize the sound very distinctly. This is no pistol or rifle. It is a freaking machine gun.
So between 280-320 rounds total, if the footage I have is complete.
Four separate clips, and it seems like he may have jammed up on the second clip - maybe. Gotta do a time analysis on the video to be sure.
Shots lasted about 9.5 seconds per clip.
About 7 rounds per second times 9.5 seconds.
So, about 66-80 rounds per reload.
